Abstract
Pemadaman listrik mendadak di bandara dapat mengganggu operasional peralatan kritis seperti sistem navigasi, komunikasi, dan keamanan. Insiden di Bandara Abdulrachman Saleh pada Juli 2024 menegaskan perlunya sistem cadangan daya yang andal, setelah terjadi kegagalan perpindahan daya dari PLN ke genset yang mengakibatkan keterlambatan pemulihan lebih dari 30 menit. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini merancang sistem Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Online Double Conversion dengan menggunakan baterai lithium yang mampu menjamin kontinuitas suplai daya bagi beban prioritas di bandara. Rancangan sistem melibatkan dua konfigurasi utama, yaitu UPS online berkapasitas 200 kVA yang ditempatkan di ruang server Terminal Keberangkatan, serta UPS berkapasitas 120 kVA yang ditempatkan pada ruang genset 110 kVA. Kedua sistem menggunakan baterai lithium 12V 150Ah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) level 1, yang hanya mencakup tahap perancangan tanpa implementasi fisik. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa konfigurasi UPS mampu menyediakan cadangan daya lebih dari satu jam, sesuai dengan standar IEEE Std 446-1995 tentang toleransi padam sistem kelistrikan di bandara. Dengan penerapan sistem UPS yang tepat, keandalan operasional dan keselamatan penerbangan di Bandara Abdulrachman Saleh dapat lebih terjamin.
Sudden power outages at airports can disrupt the operation of critical equipment such as navigation, communication, and security systems. The incident at Abdulrachman Saleh Airport in July 2024 emphasized the need for a reliable backup power system, following a failure in the transfer of power from the utility grid to the generator, which resulted in a recovery delay of more than 30 minutes. To address this issue, this study designs an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Online Double Conversion system using lithium batteries to ensure continuous power supply for priority loads at the airport. The system design involves two main configurations: a 200 kVA online UPS placed in the server room of the Departure Terminal, and a 120 kVA UPS located in the 110 kVA generator room. Both systems utilize 12V 150Ah lithium batteries. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) level 1, which only covers the design phase without physical implementation. The design results show that the UPS configuration can provide more than one hour of backup power, in accordance with IEEE Std 446-1995 standards regarding power outage tolerance in airport electrical systems. With the proper implementation of UPS systems, operational reliability and flight safety at Abdulrachman Saleh Airport can be better ensured.
