Abstract

This study addresses the reinstatement of the Runway Centerline Light (RCL) system for Runway 07R/25L at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, which may experience noncompliance in light color configuration if one of the circuits in the interleaved 1–2–1–2 connection pattern fails. Such a condition could reduce the effectiveness of visual guidance for pilots and increase the risk of accidents. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), utilizing six stages up to the validated design phase. The analysis is based on field observations, interviews, and document reviews, referring to ICAO Annex 14, PR 08 of 2022, and SKEP 114 of 2002. The results produce a connection pattern combining 1–2–1–2 and 1–1–2–2, which improves system reliability, maintains regulatory compliance, and minimizes alterations to existing conditions.
