Abstract
Sistem komunikasi Very High Frequency Air to Ground (VHF A/G) merupakan komponen vital dalam navigasi penerbangan, terutama dalam menjaga komunikasi antara pesawat dan Air Traffic Control (ATC). Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh daya pancar terhadap jangkauan sinyal VHF A/G Approach Control di wilayah Perum LPPNPI Cabang Semarang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan kuantitatif melalui perhitungan teoritis (Line of Sight, Path Loss, dan Receive Signal Level) serta simulasi menggunakan software Radio Mobile. Data diperoleh dari pengamatan lapangan, wawancara, dan log peristiwa gangguan komunikasi pada pesawat PK-SNN. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan daya pancar secara signifikan memperluas jangkauan sinyal. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa hambatan geografis seperti pegunungan dapat menyebabkan area blank spot meskipun daya pancar mencukupi area tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan data yang berguna untuk optimalisasi konfigurasi pemancar guna meningkatkan keandalan komunikasi udara ke darat.

The Very High Frequency Air-to-Ground (VHF A/G) communication system is a vital component of aviation navigation, particularly in maintaining communication between aircraft and Air Traffic Control (ATC). This study analyzes the effect of transmit power on the signal range of the VHF A/G Approach Control in the Semarang Branch of Perum LPPNPI. The methods used include a quantitative approach through theoretical calculations (Line of Sight, Path Loss, and Receive Signal Level) and simulations using Radio Mobile
software. Data were obtained from field observations, interviews, and event logs of communication disruptions on PK-SNN aircraft. The analysis shows that increasing transmit power significantly extends signal range. Furthermore, it was found that geographical obstacles such as mountains can cause blank spots even when transmit power is sufficient. This study provides useful data for optimizing transmitter configurations to improve the reliability of air-to-ground communications.
