Abstract
ABSTRAK
Komunikasi yang andal dan efisien menjadi aspek krusial dalam operasional penerbangan, terutama dalam mendukung komunikasi antarunit ground. Salah satu sistem yang umum digunakan adalah Direct Speech berbasis Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), yang memiliki keterbatasan seperti ketergantungan pada satelit dan biaya tinggi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) sebagai cadangan (backup) bagi Direct Speech (VSAT) untuk mendukung kelancaran operasional penerbangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design and Development Research (DDR) yang mencakup identifikasi masalah, perancangan, pengembangan, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan Raspberry pi 3B sebagai pengendali utama dan Wi-Fi sebagai media transmisi suara. Perancangan Raspberry dengan pemrograman menggunakan aplikasi phython dan juga menggunakan Cloud Server untuk komunikasi VoIP antar ground to ground serta integrasi USB audio card, Headphones, Push button untuk memastikan perancangan dan kualitas suara optimal. Pengujian dilakukan untuk mengukur kualitas suara, dan stabilitas koneksi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini dapat berfungsi sebagai cadangan komunikasi dengan suara jernih, dan koneksi stabil. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi komunikasi ground to ground dalam dunia penerbangan.

ABSTRACT
Reliable and efficient communication is a crucial aspect in flight operations, especially in supporting communication between ground units. One of the commonly used systems is Direct Speech based on Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), which has limitations such as dependence on satellites and high costs. Therefore, this study aims to design and build Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) as a backup for Direct Speech (VSAT) to support smooth flight operations. This study uses the Design and Development Research (DDR) method which includes problem identification, design, development, testing, and evaluation. The system was developed using Raspberry pi 3B as the main controller and Wi-Fi as a voice transmission medium. Raspberry design with programming using the Python application and also using Cloud Server for VoIP communication between ground to ground and integration of USB audio cards, Headphones, Push buttons to ensure optimal design and sound quality. Testing was carried out to measure sound quality and connection stability. The results of the study indicate that this system can function as a backup communication with clear sound and stable connections. This system is expected to improve the efficiency of ground to ground communication in the world of aviation.
