ANALISIS ALUR PERGERAKAN BAGGAGE TOWING TRACTOR DI AREA MAKE UP DAN BREAKDOWN BANDAR UDARA INTERNASIONAL KUALANAMU DELI SERDANG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP), ketersediaan marka dan rambu, serta pengaruh pengawasan terhadap operasional kendaraan Baggage Towing Tractor (BTT) di area Make Up dan Breakdown Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu, Deli Serdang. Fokus penelitian ini diarahkan untuk memahami sejauh mana SOP dijalankan, bagaimana kondisi fasilitas pendukung di lapangan, serta peran pengawasan dalam menjaga kelancaran dan keselamatan pergerakan BTT.
Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengkaji implementasi SOP, ketersediaan marka dan rambu, serta pengawasan terhadap operasional Baggage Towing Tractor (BTT) di area Make Up dan Breakdown. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung di lapangan dan wawancara mendalam dengan personel yang terlibat, seperti operator BTT, petugas pengawasan, dan pengatur lalu lintas sisi udara. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan guna memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh tentang faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kelancaran dan keselamatan pergerakan BTT.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan yang efektif dan kedisiplinan operator memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kelancaran pergerakan kendaraan BTT. Selain itu, temuan di lapangan mengungkapkan bahwa minimnya marka dan rambu petunjuk yang jelas menjadi faktor utama terjadinya ketidakteraturan pergerakan di area Make Up dan Breakdown, yang dapat menyebabkan gangguan operasional serta meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan kerja. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan pengawasan, konsistensi penegakan SOP, serta pemasangan marka dan rambu sesuai standar keselamatan untuk menunjang efisiensi dan keamanan operasional bandar udara.

This study aims to examine the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the availability of markings and signs, as well as the influence of supervision on the operation of Baggage Towing Tractors (BTT) in the Make Up and Breakdown areas of Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang. The focus of this research is directed toward understanding the extent to which SOPs are implemented, the condition of supporting facilities in the field, and the role of supervision in maintaining the smoothness and safety of BTT movements.
The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach to assess the implementation of SOPs, the availability of markings and signs, and supervision in BTT operations within the Make Up and Breakdown areas. Data were collected through direct field observations and in-depth interviews with personnel involved, such as BTT operators, field supervisors, and airside traffic controllers. The data were analyzed qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive picture of the factors affecting the smoothness and safety of BTT movements.
The findings indicate that effective supervision and operator discipline have a significant impact on the smooth operation of BTTs. In addition, field observations revealed that the lack of clear markings and signs is a major factor contributing to irregular movements in the Make Up and Breakdown areas, potentially causing operational disruptions and increasing the risk of workplace accidents. Based on these findings, the study recommends enhancing supervision, ensuring consistent enforcement of SOPs, and installing markings and signs in accordance with safety standards to support the efficiency and safety of airport operations.
