Abstract
Unit Terminal Inspection Service (TIS) memiliki peran strategis dalam pengelolaan fasilitas landside di Bandar Udara Internasional Minangkabau (BIM). TIS bertugas mengawasi dan memastikan seluruh fasilitas seperti terminal penumpang, area parkir, jalur akses, serta zona drop-off berjalan optimal sesuai standar. Inspeksi yang dilakukan mencakup aspek kebersihan, keamanan, dan kelancaran mobilitas penumpang. Namun, pelaksanaan tugas TIS masih
dihadapkan pada sejumlah tantangan seperti kepadatan lalu lintas di area drop-off, keterbatasan lahan parkir, koordinasi antarunit yang belum optimal, dan kekurangan sumber daya manusia. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, diperlukan langkah seperti penambahan personel, pemanfaatan teknologi pengawasan real- time, serta edukasi pengguna jasa terkait ketertiban dan keselamatan. Peningkatan kinerja juga dapat dilakukan melalui evaluasi berkala, pelatihan SDM, dan integrasi sistem digital. Strategi-strategi ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat peran TIS dalam menciptakan lingkungan bandara yang aman, nyaman, dan efisien, sehingga meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan BIM secara menyeluruh.

The Terminal Inspection Service (TIS) unit plays a strategic role in managing landside facilities at Minangkabau International Airport (BIM). TIS is responsible for supervising and ensuring that key areas such as passenger terminals, parking lots, access roads, and drop-off zones operate in accordance with standards. Its inspections cover cleanliness, safety, and passenger mobility. However, TIS operations face several challenges, including traffic congestion in drop-off zones, limited parking space, suboptimal inter-unit coordination, and insufficient human resources. Addressing these issues requires strategies such as adding personnel, utilizing real-time surveillance technology, and educating service users on order and safety. Performance improvements can also be achieved through regular evaluations, staff training, and the integration of digital monitoring systems. These strategies are expected to enhance the role of TIS in ensuring a safer, more comfortable, and efficient airport environment, ultimately improving the overall service quality at BIM.
