Abstract
Mengacu pada durasi yang diperlukan untuk menyelesaikan perawatan pesawat, Turnaround time (TAT) memastikan bahwa perawatan selesai tepat waktu dan sesuai jadwal yang telah ditentukan demi menjaga kelancaran operasi penerbangan. Keterlambatan dalam TAT dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi perusahaan serta mengganggu jadwal penerbangan yang sudah direncanakan. Pada perawatan jenis C-Check pesawat Boeing 737 yang dilakukan di Batam Aero Technic (BAT), terjadi penyimpangan yang signifikan antara jadwal yang direncanakan dan kenyataannya. Dari periode 2020 hingga 2024, tercatat ada keterlambatan TAT perawatan C-Check. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penyebab- penyebab keterlambatan waktu perbaikan dalam maintenance C-Check pesawat Boeing 737 di BAT, serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk mengurangi keterlambatan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Root Cause Analysis, dengan memanfaatkan alat-alat seperti Fault Tree Analysis dan Control Chart. Hasil analisis Pareto menunjukkan bahwa 80% keterlambatan disebabkan oleh nill stock material (46,34%) dan late finding (36,59%). FTA mengidentifikasi akar penyebab utama, yaitu long lead time pengadaan, kesalahan input data, inspeksi yang tidak menyeluruh, dan sikap complacency teknisi. Faktor lainnya yang turut berkontribusi meliputi robbing activity, tool availability, kekurangan manpower, ketiadaan safety stock, keterbatasan vendor, dan fasilitas hanggar. Selain itu, terbatasnya fasilitas hanggar dan keterlambatan dalam request material untuk finding maintenance / non routine task juga turut menyumbang pada keterlambatan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, perbaikan yang diusulkan meliputi peningkatan pelatihan rutin bagi teknisi dan planner, pengawasan yang lebih ketat dengan double check, pemetaan kebutuhan tools untuk keperluan maintenance, serta perencanaan kebutuhan material.

Referring to the duration required to complete aircraft maintenance, Turnaround Time (TAT) ensures that maintenance activities are completed on time and according to the predetermined schedule, thereby supporting smooth flight operations. Delays in TAT can have negative impacts on the company and disrupt planned flight schedules. In the case of C-Check maintenance for Boeing 737 aircraft conducted at Batam Aero Technic (BAT), there were significant deviations between the planned and actual schedules. Between 2020 and 2024, repeated delays in C-Check TAT were recorded. This study aims to analyze the root causes of maintenance delays during C-Check processes at BAT and provide improvement recommendations to minimize such delays. The research method employed is Root Cause Analysis, utilizing tools such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Control Chart. Pareto analysis revealed that 80% of the delays were caused by nill stock material (46.34%) and late findings (36.59%). FTA identified key root causes, including long lead times in procurement, data input errors, incomplete inspections, and technician complacency. Other contributing factors include robbing activity, limited tool availability, manpower shortages, the absence of safety stock, vendor limitations, and insufficient hangar facilities. Additionally, delays in requesting materials for findings or non-routine tasks also contributed to the overall delay. Based on the analysis, proposed improvements include enhanced training for technicians and planners, stricter supervision through double-check procedures, mapping of tool requirements for maintenance, and proactive material planning.
