Abstract
Salah satu aspek yang krusial dalam operasional bandar udara adalah sistem pelayanan informasi penumpang. Layanan ini harus mampu menyelesaikan informasi secara jelas dan efektif kepada seluruh penumpang. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang ketersediaan informasi berupa signage dan announcement multibahasa di Terminal Bandar Udara Internasional Juanda Surabaya. Fokus utama pada pembahasan ini pada penggunaan signage dan announcement untuk memandu penumpang internasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan fenomena secara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan mendalam, wawancara, dan dokumentasi lapangan. Tujuannya adalah untuk memastikan kelancaran pergerakan penumpang internasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Kondisi rambu signage di Bandar Udara Internasional Juanda Surabaya sudah cukup baik, namun perlunya ditambahkan bahasa internasional seperti bahasa Mandarin dan bahasa Jepang pada papan signage yang ada di terminal Bandar Udara Internasional Juanda Surabaya. (2) kurangnya penggunaan multibahasa pada announcement di terminal yang menyebabkan kebingungan pada penumpang internasional. (3) perlunya penambahan bahasa Mandarin dan bahasa Jepang pada penggunaan signage dan announcement di Terminal Bandar Udara Internasional Juanda Surabaya.

One crucial aspect of airport operation is the passenger information service system. The service must effectively and clearly convey information to all passengers. This research examines the availability of multilingual signage and announcements at Juanda International Airport Terminal in Surabaya. The main focus is on using signage and announcements to guide international passengers. The research employed a qualitative method, aiming to describe the phenomenon in depth. Data was collected through in-depth participant observation, interviews, and field documentation. The objective was to ensure the smooth movement of international passengers. The result of the study show that: (1) the condition of signage at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya is quite good, but there is a need to add international languages such as Mandarin and Japanese to existing signage boards in the Juanda International Airport terminal. (2) There is a lack of multilingual use in announcements at the terminal, which causes confusion for international passengers. (3) There is need to add Mandarin and Japanese to the use of signage and announcements at Juanda International Airport Terminal in Surabaya.
