Abstract

Pelaporan dan pemeriksaan Ground Support Equipment (GSE) di Bandar
Udara memiliki peran penting dalam menjamin keselamatan dan efisiensi
operasional. Namun, di BLU Kantor UPBU Kelas I Aji Pangeran Tumenggung
Pranoto Samarinda, proses tersebut masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga
rentan terhadap kesalahan, keterlambatan, dan kehilangan data. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dalam sistem pelaporan dan
pemeriksaan GSE yang ada serta merancang solusi digital untuk mengatasinya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik
pengumpulan data berupa observasi non-partisipan, wawancara semi-terstruktur,
dan dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan untuk memahami secara langsung proses
operasional dan pengawasan GSE di lapangan. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap
personel Apron Movement Control (AMC) dan petugas ground handling guna
menggali pengalaman, kendala, serta harapan terhadap sistem yang digunakan.
Dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengkaji dokumen resmi, foto, dan data operasional
yang mendukung analisis.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem digital berbasis aplikasi mobile
mampu meningkatkan efisiensi kerja, akurasi data, serta pengawasan secara real
time melalui fitur pemindaian QR code, notifikasi otomatis, dan dashboard
terintegrasi. Hal baru yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini adalah rancangan sistem
pelaporan dan pemeriksaan GSE berbasis digital yang terintegrasi dan mendukung
pengawasan kendaraan sisi udara secara lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.

aplikasi.The reporting and inspection of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at
airports play a critical role in ensuring operational safety and efficiency. However,
at BLU Kantor UPBU Class I Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Samarinda,
these processes are still conducted manually, making them prone to errors, delays,
and data loss. This study aims to identify the issues faced in the current GSE data
recording and reporting system and to design a digital solution to address those
problems.
This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on a
detailed examination of the existing system. Data were collected through three
techniques: non-participant observation to analyze the operational environment;
semi-structured interviews with Apron Movement Control personnel and ground
handling staff to gain insight into their experiences, challenges, and expectations;
and documentation review involving relevant operational records, checklists, and
visual documentation of GSE-related incidents.
The results indicate that a digital system based on a mobile application can
significantly improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and real-time
monitoring through features such as QR code scanning, automated alerts, and
centralized dashboards. A new contribution of this study is the development of an
integrated GSE reporting and inspection system that supports better coordination,
faster response times, and enhanced airside safety at the airport.
