Abstract

Area Dropzone di Bandar Udara Sultan Thaha Jambi memiliki peran strategis sebagai titik singgah sementara untuk menurunkan dan menjemput penumpang secara cepat. Namun, hasil observasi di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa area ini sering disalahgunakan oleh pengemudi yang berhenti melebihi batas waktu yang diperbolehkan. Akibatnya, sering terjadi kemacetan, antrean panjang, dan gangguan terhadap efisiensi arus lalu lintas di sekitar terminal. Sistem pengawasan yang masih bersifat manual terbukti tidak efektif dalam mendeteksi dan menindak pelanggaran secara real-time, serta menimbulkan potensi konflik antara petugas dan pengguna jasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (i). untuk mengetahui bagaimana fungsi Dropzone melalui penerapan sistem kamera berbasis AI di Bandar Udara Sultan Thaha Jambi; (ii). Untuk mengetahui dampak penerapan sistem Dropzone terhadap efisiensi operasional dan keamanan di bandar udara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi langsung di lapangan, dokumentasi visual, serta wawancara dengan petugas AVSEC, BKO, dan pihak pengelola parkir (Securindo). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi ANPR mampu mencatat pelanggaran dengan tingkat akurasi tinggi, memberikan data real-time yang dapat ditindaklanjuti oleh petugas keamanan, serta dapat diintegrasikan dengan sistem parkir bandara untuk penindakan administratif. Selain itu, sistem ini mendukung pengurangan beban kerja petugas, menurunkan potensi konflik langsung di lapangan, dan memberikan efek jera kepada pelanggar. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini, sistem kamera berbasis AI dengan ANPR berperan penting dalam transformasi digital pengawasan lalu lintas internal bandara. Penerapannya dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, menciptakan budaya disiplin di area Dropzone, serta menjadi solusi replikatif bagi bandara lain di Indonesia yang menghadapi permasalahan serupa.

The Dropzone area at Sultan Thaha Airport in Jambi serves a strategic role as a temporary stop point for quickly dropping off and picking up passengers. However, field observations indicate that this area is often misused by drivers who stop for longer than the permitted duration. As a result, congestion, long queues, and disruptions to traffic flow efficiency around the terminal frequently occur. The existing manual monitoring system has proven ineffective in detecting and addressing violations in real-time and often leads to potential conflicts between security personnel and airport users. This study aims to: (i) analyze the function of the Dropzone through the implementation of an AI-based camera system at Sultan Thaha Airport, and (ii) examine the impact of the Dropzone system implementation on operational efficiency and airport security. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including field observation, visual documentation, and interviews with AVSEC officers, BKO security personnel, and the parking management company (Securindo). The study was conducted during the On the Job Training (OJT) period at Sultan Thaha Airport from October 2024 to February 2025. The findings show that the ANPR technology is capable of recording violations with high accuracy, providing real-time data that can be acted upon by security personnel, and integrating with the airport parking system for administrative enforcement. Additionally, the system helps reduce the workload of personnel, decreases the potential for direct conflict on-site, and serves as a deterrent for violators. The AI-based camera system with ANPR plays a vital role in the digital transformation of internal airport traffic monitoring. Its implementation enhances operational efficiency, fosters a culture of discipline in the Dropzone area, and offers a replicable solution for other airports in Indonesia facing similar challenges.
