Abstract

Komponen Battery pada pesawat Airbus 320 berperan penting pada sistem kelistrikan pesawat, terutama pada saat pesawat berada di darat, Saat proses start Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) serta dalam kondisi darurat. Battery P/N 2758 termasuk ke dalam NO GO item yang berarti jika terjadi kerusakan pada komponen ini maka pesawat tidak diizinkan untuk terbang. Komponen Battery termasuk komponen hard time atau komponen yang memiliki batas usia pakai yang ditentukan oleh maintenance program. Berdasarkan data dari PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk, tercatat 184 kasus component removal dalam satu tahun, Jumlah ini menunjukkan frekuensi kegagalan yang tinggi sebelum komponen mencapai usia pakai yang telah ditentukan. Hal ini tentu menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi maskapai penerbangan, seperti meningkatnya biaya pemeliharaan yang bertambah dan terganggunya jadwal penerbangan yang sudah ditentukan. Untuk menganalisis penyebab kegagalan Battery P/N 2758 dan memberikan strategi pemeliharaan yang tepat dengan menggunakan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance. Metode yang digunakan ialah melalui pendekatan Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengidentifikasi mode kegagalan utama dan menentukan tingkat risiko dengan menggunakan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) dan Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) untuk mengetahui akar penyebab kegagalan. Hasil FMEA menunjukkan terdapat empat mode kegagalan yang terjadi, yaitu Low Voltage,Battery Weak, Battery Drop, dan Low Insulation. Failure Mode Low Voltage memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi sebesar 192 sehingga menjadi fokus utama dalam penelitian ini. Analisis FTA lebih lanjut mengidentifikasi tiga faktor yang menjadi penyebab utama, yaitu, human error, metode kerja yang tidak sesuai dengan prosedur dan kondisi lingkungan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan penentuan strategi perawatan berdasarkan hasil metode RCM. Strategi perawatan yang direkomendasikan mencakup Scheduled On-Condition Task untuk mencegah keegagalan sebelum terjadi, serta Failure Finding Task untuk mendeteksi potensi kegagalan tersembunyi. Beberapa tindakan yang disarankan antara lain memastikan Battery dilepas pada saat perawatan dilakukan, memastikan switch Battery tidak aktif setelah penggunaan, melakukan pemeriksaan terhadap tegangan Battery secara berkala dan menjaga kebersihan Battery dan memastikan temperature storage sesuai dengan standar. Hasil akhir dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan RCM dapat digunakan secara efektif untuk meminimalisir kegagalan Battery P/N 2758 dengan meningkatkan disiplin prosedur, pemeriksaan berkala dan perhatian terhadap faktor lingkungan.

The Battery component on the Airbus 320 aircraft plays an important role in the aircraft's electrical system, especially when the aircraft is on the ground, during the start process of the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), and in emergency conditions. The Battery P/N 2758 is categorized as a NO GO item, which means that if there is damage to this component, the aircraft is not permitted to fly. The Battery component is classified as a hard time component, meaning it has a fixed service life as specified by the maintenance program. Based on data from PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk, there were 184 recorded cases of component removal in one year. This number indicates a high failure rate occurring before the component reaches its predetermined service life. This condition certainly has negative impacts on airlines, such as increased unplanned maintenance costs and disruptions to scheduled flights. To analyze the cause of Battery P/N 2758 failures and provide the appropriate maintenance strategy, the Reliability Centered Maintenance method is used. This method applies the Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) approach to identify the main failure modes and determine the level of risk using the Risk Priority Number (RPN), followed by Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to determine the root causes of failure. The results of the FMEA identified four main failure modes, namely: Low Voltage, Battery Weak, Battery Drop, and Low Insulation. Among these, the Low Voltage failure mode had the highest RPN value of 192, making it the primary focus of this study. Further analysis using FTA identified three main causal factors: human error, work methods not in accordance with standard procedures, and environmental conditions. To address these issues, maintenance strategies were determined based on the results of the RCM method. The recommended maintenance strategy includes the implementation of Scheduled On-Condition Task to prevent failure before it occurs, and Failure Finding Task to detect potential hidden failures.Several suggested preventive actions include ensuring the Battery is removed during maintenance, making sure the Battery switch is turned off after use, regularly checking Battery voltage, maintaining Battery cleanliness, and ensuring the temperature storage meets the required standards. The final result of the study shows that the RCM approach can be effectively used to minimize failures of Battery P/N 2758 by improving procedural discipline, conducting regular inspections, and paying attention to environmental factors. The implementation of this strategy is expected to reduce the number of component removals and lower operational costs for the airline.
