Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis performa kendaraan utama Foam tender Tipe II Morita MJ 10 tahun 1988 milik unit PKP-PK di Bandar Udara Halim Perdanakusuma dalam mendukung keselamatan penerbangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendaraan mengalami penurunan performa pada beberapa parameter penting, seperti akselerasi, kecepatan maksimum, dan discharge rate, yang tidak memenuhi standar kelayakan operasional berdasarkan Peraturan Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Udara Nomor PR 30 Tahun 2022 tentang standar teknis dan operasi peraturan keselamatan penerbangan sipil. Usia kendaraan yang telah melampaui 35 tahun turut berkontribusi terhadap penurunan keandalan teknis dan operasional, sehingga berpotensi menghambat efektivitas dalam menangani keadaan darurat. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya peremajaan atau penggantian kendaraan untuk memastikan kesiapan dan keselamatan operasional yang optimal di lingkungan Bandar Udara.

This study aims to analyze the performance of the main vehicle, the 1988 Type II Morita MJ 10 Foam tender belonging to the PKP-PK unit at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in supporting flight safety. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the vehicle has experienced a decline in performance in several important parameters, such as acceleration, maximum speed, and discharge rate, which do not meet the operational feasibility standards based on the Regulation of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Number PR 30 of 2022 concerning technical standards and operations of civil aviation safety regulations. The age of the vehicle, which has exceeded 35 years, also contributes to a decrease in technical and operational reliability, thus potentially hampering effectiveness in handling emergencies. Based on these findings, this study recommends the need for vehicle rejuvenation or replacement to ensure optimal operational readiness and safety in the airport environment
