Abstract
Manajemen inventaris peralatan (tools) merupakan aspek fundamental dalam industri perawatan pesawat udara yang menuntut tingkat presisi dan keamanan tertinggi, sebuah lingkungan di mana PT. Mulya Sejahtera Technology Bandung beroperasi. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh identifikasi masalah krusial pada sistem kontrol peralatan yang faktanya masih mengandalkan metode manual berbasis formulir kertas. Sistem manual ini terbukti menimbulkan berbagai hambatan operasional, seperti inefisiensi waktu yang signifikan akibat proses pengisian formulir, risiko tinggi terhadap kerusakan dan kehilangan data historis yang vital, serta lemahnya pengawasan terhadap sirkulasi maupun jadwal kalibrasi peralatan yang esensial untuk keselamatan penerbangan. Adanya kesenjangan antara standar keselamatan dan efisiensi yang diharapkan dengan realitas di lapangan menjadi dasar urgensi untuk mengembangkan sebuah solusi teknologi modern. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah merancang, membangun, dan menganalisis kelayakan sebuah aplikasi inventaris peralatan yang komprehensif dan berbasis website untuk menggantikan sistem manual tersebut. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, penelitian mengadopsi metodologi pengembangan perangkat lunak Rapid Application Development (RAD), yang dipilih karena memungkinkan proses pengerjaan yang cepat melalui tiga tahapan terstruktur: Requirement Planning (Perencanaan Kebutuhan), User Design (Desain Pengguna), dan Implementation (Implementasi). Pada tahap perencanaan, analisis sistem berjalan dievaluasi menggunakan kerangka PIECES (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, Service) guna memetakan kelemahan secara sistematis. Sistem aplikasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan teknologi modern, mencakup framework Next.js untuk antarmuka, PostgreSQL sebagai basis data, dan Barcode Code 128 untuk identifikasi peralatan secara cepat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebuah aplikasi inventaris peralatan berbasis website telah berhasil dikembangkan dengan fungsionalitas penuh. Kelayakan sistem ini kemudian diuji melalui validasi oleh tiga orang ahli dari bidang yang berbeda, yaitu Ahli IT, Ahli Safety and Quality, dan Ahli Maintenance. Hasil validasi menegaskan bahwa sistem ini "Sangat Layak" untuk diimplementasikan, dengan perolehan skor dari Ahli IT sebesar 94%, Ahli Safety and Quality sebesar 93%, dan Ahli Maintenance sebesar 99%, sehingga menghasilkan rata-rata kelayakan gabungan yang sangat tinggi, yaitu 95,33%. Berdasarkan bukti-bukti tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan bukan hanya sekadar solusi konseptual, melainkan sebuah platform yang teruji, andal, dan sangat layak untuk mentransformasi proses manajemen peralatan di PT. Mulya Sejahtera Technology Bandung, guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, akurasi data, dan mendukung standar keselamatan penerbangan.

Equipment inventory management is a fundamental aspect of the aircraft maintenance industry, which demands the highest levels of precision and safety, an environment in which PT. Mulya Sejahtera Technology Bandung operates. This research was motivated by the identification of critical issues in the equipment control system, which in fact still relies on manual methods based on paper forms. This manual system has proven to cause various operational challenges, such as significant time inefficiencies due to form-filling processes, high risks of damage and loss of vital historical data, and weak oversight of equipment circulation and calibration schedules—all of which are essential for aviation safety. The gap between the expected safety and efficiency standards and the reality on the ground underscores the urgency of developing a modern technological solution. The primary objective of this research is to design, develop, and analyse the feasibility of a comprehensive, web-based equipment inventory application to replace the manual system. To achieve this objective, the research adopts the Rapid Application Development (RAD) software development methodology, chosen for its ability to facilitate a swift development process through three structured phases: Requirement Planning, User Design, and Implementation. During the planning phase, the existing system analysis was evaluated using the PIECES framework (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, Service) to systematically identify weaknesses. The application system was developed using modern technologies, including the Next.js framework for the interface, Postgre SQL as the database, and Barcode Code 128 for quick equipment identification. The research results show that a website-based equipment inventory application has been successfully developed with full functionality. The feasibility of this system was then validated by three experts from different fields, namely IT Experts, Safety and Quality Experts, and Maintenance Experts. The validation results confirm that the system is ‘Highly Feasible’ for implementation, with scores of 94% from the IT Expert, 93% from the Safety and Quality Expert, and 99% from the Maintenance Expert, resulting in a very high combined feasibility average of 95.33%. Based on this evidence, it can be concluded that the developed system is not merely a conceptual solution but a tested, reliable, and highly suitable platform for transforming equipment management processes at PT. Mulya Sejahtera Technology Bandung, thereby enhancing operational efficiency, data accuracy, and supporting aviation safety standards.
