Abstract
Bandar udara diwajibkan memiliki fasilitas pemadam kebakaran (PKP-PK) yang andal sebagai bagian dari sistem keselamatan penerbangan. Salah satu elemen vital dari unit ini adalah garasi fire station yang berfungsi melindungi kendaraan dan mendukung respons cepat terhadap kondisi darurat. Namun, kondisi garasi di Bandar Udara Adi Soemarmo Boyolali menunjukkan berbagai permasalahan, seperti atap yang terlalu tinggi, genangan air di lantai, dan gangguan operasional akibat kotoran burung.
Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang model konstruksi garasi yang lebih efektif dan sesuai standar keselamatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan empat tahapan utama: identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, perancangan desain, dan validasi oleh ahli. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.
Hasil yang diharapkan adalah desain garasi yang mampu mencegah tampias air hujan, memiliki sistem drainase optimal, serta mendukung kenyamanan dan efisiensi kerja personel ARFF (Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting). Desain ini diharapkan menjadi solusi teknis yang aplikatif untuk mendukung operasional yang lebih aman di lingkungan bandar udara.

Airports are required to provide reliable Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) facilities as a critical component of aviation safety systems. One of the essential structures in this unit is the fire station garage, which serves to protect firefighting vehicles and support rapid emergency response. However, the fire station garage at Adi Soemarmo Airport in Boyolali presents several issues, such as an excessively high roof, water pooling on the floor, and operational disruptions caused by bird droppings.
This study aims to design a more effective and regulation-compliant garage construction model. The research adopts the Research and Development (R&D) method with four key stages: problem identification, data collection, design development, and expert validation. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation.
The expected outcome is a garage design capable of preventing rainwater intrusion, equipped with an optimal drainage system, and enhancing both comfort and operational efficiency for ARFF (Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting) personnel. This design is intended to provide a practical technical solution to support safer airport operations.
