Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas perancangan dan pembuatan mini prototype sistem
barrier gate otomatis berbasis Arduino yang terintegrasi dengan tombol darurat
(crashbell) untuk memberikan prioritas akses kepada kendaraan PKP-PK pada
persimpangan antara service road dan access road di Bandar Udara Radin Inten II.
Sistem ini dirancang untuk menutup jalur service road secara otomatis saat tombol
ditekan, guna mencegah kendaraan ground support melintasi access road dalam
kondisi darurat. Sistem dikendalikan oleh Arduino Uno dan terdiri atas push button
sebagai pemicu utama sekaligus reset, buzzer sebagai alarm suara, LED sebagai
indikator visual, infrared sebagai pendeteksi kendaraan, serta motor servo sebagai
penggerak palang. Saat tombol ditekan, buzzer menyala, LED hijau menjadi merah
berkedip, dan servo menutup palang ke posisi 90° jika kendaraan tidak terdeteksi
infrared tetapi, jika terdeteksi servo akan menunggu sampai kendaraan selesai
melintas, serta dapat direset dengan tombol yang sama. Hasil pengujian
menunjukkan bahwa sistem bekerja secara real-time dan responsif, serta dapat
dioperasikan dengan mudah. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap
peningkatan keselamatan operasional kendaraan darat di area airside bandara dan
memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut melalui integrasi sensor dan
teknologi berbasis IoT.

This study discusses the design and creation of a mini prototype automatic
barrier gate system based on Arduino, integrated with an emergency button
(crashbell) to prioritize access for ARFF vehicles at the intersection between the
service road and the access road at Radin Inten II Airport. The system is designed
to automatically close the service road lane when the button is pressed, in order to
prevent Ground Support vehicles from crossing the access road during emergencies.
The system is controlled by an Arduino Uno and consists of a push button serving
as both the primary trigger and reset, a buzzer as an audible alarm, an LED as a
visual indicator, infrared sensors to detect vehicles, and a servo motor to drive the
barrier arm. When the button is pressed, the buzzer activates, the green LED
switches to a blinking red, and the servo closes the barrier arm to a 90° position. If
a vehicle is detected by the infrared sensor, the servo will wait until the vehicle has
passed before closing, and the system can be reset using the same button. Testing
results show that the system operates in real time, is responsive, and easy to operate.
This research contributes significantly to improving the safety of ground vehicle
operations in the airside area of the airport and has potential for further
development through integration with sensors and IoT-based technologies.
