KAJIAN PEMANFAATAN LUAS AREA TERMINAL LANTAI DUA KEBERANGKATAN DOMESTIK UNTUK PENDAPATAN NON-AERONAUTICAL DI BANDAR UDARA INTERNASIONAL ZAINUDDIN ABDUL MADJID LOMBOK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi pemanfaatan area kosong di lantai dua terminal domestik Bandar Udara Internasional Zainuddin Abdul Madjid (ZAM) Lombok dalam rangka meningkatkan pendapatan non-aeronautical. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari kebutuhan optimalisasi aset bandara untuk mendukung keberlanjutan finansial melalui sektor non-aero, mengingat keterbatasan ketergantungan pada sektor aeronautical yang fluktuatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan pihak bandara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa area kosong yang terletak di antara ruang tunggu dan tenant di lantai dua terminal memiliki potensi strategis untuk dikembangkan menjadi fasilitas komersial, salah satunya berupa layanan photobox bertema budaya lokal. Analisis menggunakan pendekatan Business Model Canvas dan strategi pemasaran 7P memperkuat kelayakan konsep tersebut dari segi operasional, pemasaran, dan daya tarik pelanggan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan area kosong melalui pengembangan unit usaha photobox dapat menjadi sumber pendapatan baru yang stabil, efisien, dan relevan dengan tren digital serta promosi wisata. Implementasi ide ini juga sejalan dengan kebijakan komersialisasi bandara sesuai KP 205 Tahun 2016. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar pengelola bandara segera merealisasikan pemanfaatan area kosong secara optimal untuk mendukung peran bandara sebagai simpul ekonomi dan wisata daerah.

This study aims to analyze the potential utilization of vacant areas on the second floor of the domestic terminal of Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (ZAM) Lombok in order to increase non-aeronautical revenue. The background of this research departs from the need to optimize airport assets to support financial sustainability through the non-aero sector, given the limited dependence on the fluctuating aeronautical sector. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through direct observation, interviews with airport parties, and documentation. The results showed that the empty area located between the waiting room and tenants on the second floor of the terminal has strategic potential to be developed into commercial facilities, one of which is a photo booth service with a local cultural theme. Analysis using the Business Model Canvas approach and the 7P marketing strategy strengthens the feasibility of the concept in terms of operations, marketing, and customer attraction. The conclusion of this research shows that the utilization of vacant areas through the development of photo booth business units can be a new source of income that is stable, efficient, and relevant to digital trends and tourism promotion. The implementation of this idea is also in line with the airport commercialization policy according to KP 205/2016. This study recommends that airport managers immediately realize the optimal utilization of vacant areas to support the airport's role as a regional economic and tourism node.
