Abstract

kecuali ruangan Kantin. FACP dinonaktifkan karena alarm terus-menerus.
Diperlukan program pemeliharaan sistematis dan berkelanjutan agar sistem
deteksi kebakaran dapat kembali berfungsi optimal.

Smoke detectors and heat detectors are important components of active fire
protection systems for early fire detection. This study analyzes the condition of
both devices and recommends a periodic maintenance program at the PKP-PK
Building, PPI Curug. A descriptive qualitative method supported by quantitative
data was used through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results
showed 7 out of 54 detectors were damaged, unresponsive when tested, and had
no electrical current. The number of installed detectors mostly complied with SNI
03-3985-2000, except the Canteen. FACP was deactivated due to continuously
sounding alarms. A systematic and sustainable maintenance program is needed to
restore the fire detection system to optimal function.
