Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan sistem informasi digital untuk meningkatkan pelayanan informasi kepada penumpang di Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu, Deli Serdang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kondisi layanan sistem informasi digital yang ada serta merumuskan upaya pengembangannya agar penyampaian informasi menjadi lebih efektif, modern, dan mudah diakses oleh pengguna jasa bandar udara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik
pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi selama pelaksanaan On the Job Training (OJT).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Digital Wayfinding (DWF) yang tersedia saat ini masih berfungsi sebagai media
informasi satu arah dan belum terintegrasi secara menyeluruh dengan sistem informasi digital yang ada. Di samping itu, pemanfaatan QR Code sebagai sarana untuk akses informasi mandiri juga belum optimal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini
mengusulkan pengembangan Digital Wayfinding (DWF) berbasis touchscreen yang terintegrasi dengan website bandar udara serta didukung dengan fitur QR Code. Penempatan fasilitas ini diharapkan ada di area strategis terminal. Dengan
pengembangan tersebut, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemudahan akses informasi, efektivitas pelayanan, kenyamanan penumpang, serta mendukung transformasi digital dan penerapan konsep Smart Airport di Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu. //
This study discusses the development of a digital information system to improve passenger information services at Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of digital information system services and formulate development efforts to make information delivery more effective, modern, and accessible to airport users. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation during On-the-Job Training (OJT). The results show that the currently available Digital Wayfinding (DWF) still functions as a one-way information medium and has not been fully integrated with the existing digital information system. Furthermore, the use of QR Codes as a means of self-access information is also not optimal. Therefore, this study proposes the development of a touchscreen-based Digital Wayfinding (DWF) integrated with the airport website and supported by a QR Code feature. This facility is expected to be placed in strategic areas of the terminal. This development is expected to improve ease of information access, service effectiveness, passenger comfort, and support digital transformation and the implementation of the Smart Airport concept at Kualanamu International Airport.
